Four new recruits support growth at Explain Market Research

Explain celebrates success of graduate and placement programmes with four new recruits

In its continued commitment to growth, Explain Market Research have recruited four new team members into its North East head office team.

The fast-growing company have provided full-service market research solutions to a range of companies across the UK, including those in the healthcare, social housing, utilities and financial services sectors, for over three decades. The graduate recruitment programme was established in 2015, and is now in its third year of graduate intakes.

The retention and development of people and the recognition of talent are key objectives for the growing business. The business has consistently seen growth in turnover and profit year on year, providing opportunity for its head office team of 25 full time employees and 45 telephone interviewers at their CATI research centre.

Samantha Yuk and Andy Patterson, both graduates from Northumbria University, have joined the team as full time Market Research Assistants, whilst Joel Miller and Anna Walton from Nottingham Trent and Newcastle University are undertaking their placement years at Explain.

Our graduates will start a defined series of development and training that will result in them becoming experts on qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies, aligned to Market Research Society training.

Kim Davis, Managing Director tells us;

“We are a great supporter of professional development and are delighted to add to our dynamic team. Our graduate and placement programme adds significant value to our business and our customers. A number of our graduates have progressed throughout the business into senior roles after developing their knowledge, skill and expertise in the sector.”

Kim adds;

“I am delighted to see the continued development and success of our graduate recruitment programme, as our growth strategy and continued delivery to clients will only be achieved through consistent investment in our exceptional team.”

Andy Patterson, one of Explain's new graduates tells us;

“I first joined Explain on a placement during my undergraduate degree. On my first day I was introduced to a friendly, professional and highly knowledgeable team. As the placement ended I left excited to pursue a career in market research. This week I joined Explain full-time as part of the graduate scheme and feel confident that, with support from the team, I will develop my professional skills.”
